What are some CMA indicators? |
Some common CMA indicators include: Colic & Excessive Crying - fussiness, gas, and excessive crying more than 3 times a week for 3 or more weeks, digestive issues - bloody stool. vomiting, and diarrhea, and skin reactions - atopic dermatitis, itchy rash (urticaria). |
What is the allergic march? |
The allergic march refers to the time-based progression of allergic manifestation. Infants with cow's milk protein allergy or food allergies are 2 to 4x more likely to have atopic dermatitis, asthma, and rhinitis*. |
What are the issues with CMA? |
Issues related to CMA may involve many different organ systems, most commonly affecting skin and GI tract. Issues in the GI tract related to CMA, such as blood in stools may be due to inflammation, dysmotility or both. |
